Equivalent fractions are different fractions that have same value or represent same part of a whole.

Equivalent fractions can be created by multiplying or dividing both the numerator and denominator by the same number.

For example: Consider the fraction

We can obtain a fraction equivalent to

by dividing the numerator and the denominator by 4.

(8 ÷ 4)

We can also obtain another fraction equivalent to
